Eight Paths of Buddha
For a way out of this mess we call life, Buddha suggests we repeat these affirmations.
1) I am willing to adjust my theory about the make up of the universe: Right Understanding
2) I admit when my old theory is pure bunk: Right Thought
3) I keep my mouth shut unless what I have to say is pleasing, for words are too powerful to be wasted on negative ideas: Right Speech
4) I avoid stepping on my neighbor's toes: Right Action
5) I give the fisherman enough rice for his catch: Right Livelihood
6) I am patient and never give up: Right Effort
7) What am I doing now: Right Mindfulness
8) It doesn't matter: Right Concentration.
